From June 1 onward, our department is pleased to welcome Francesca Menescardi, a researcher in the field of theoretical and computational materials science. Her research interests include high-pressure materials, density functional theory (DFT), and advanced computational methods for studying materials under extreme conditions. Francesca joins us from SISSA in Trieste within the framework of the SQUASH project (https://squash.ijs.si/). We are looking forward to her contribution and theoretical support in our experimental studies.
