Researchers from our group participated in the 17th International Conference on Magnetic Fluids (ICMF17), held in Vienna, Austria, from 5–10 July 2026. The conference brought together leading experts in magnetic fluids, magnetic nanoparticles, magneto-elastic materials, and their technological and biomedical applications.
Our team made several notable scientific contributions. Assist. Prof. Slavko Kralj delivered a keynote lecture entitled “Magnetic Field-Assisted Assembly of Anisotropic Nanostructures: From Design to Application.” Prof. Dr. Darja Lisjak presented her latest research in an oral presentation, “Design and Realization of Magneto-Electric Nanoplatelets.” PhD student Lucija Drempetić gave an oral presentation in the Young Scientist Session and presented a poster on “Improving Filler Dispersion in Magnetoactive Elastomers via DBSA Surface Modification of Hexaferrites.”
We are especially pleased that Lucija’s poster was recognized with an award as one of the three best posters presented at the conference, highlighting the quality and impact of her research.
Congratulations to all presenters for their excellent contributions and for successfully representing our research group at this prestigious international event.
