On October 27th, our colleague Sašo Gyergyek delivered an engaging departmental seminar titled Projects, research and challenges in magnetic catalysis

Short summary: Magnetically heated catalysis is a process where heat for the catalyzed reaction is provide by magnetic heating of magnetic nanoparticles embedded within the catalyst. Such heating enables rapid establishment of reaction conditions and therefore enables utilization of renewable electricity in chemical processes. In the seminar progress and challenges encountered in last year’s research will be presented.
